ILM Courses
The ILM programmes in Leadership and Management are flexible and available to suit your needs. You can choose to study the whole Diploma programme or pick the units you wish to study in order to achieve either the Certificate or Award qualification.
ILM Level 2 in Leadership and Team skills Award & Certificate
Who is this course aimed at?
This course is intended for people working within a business environment as reflection and work based experience is a major part of the lessons and the assessments. The course covers some of the main issues in the role of team leaders
What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal entry requirements, but participants will normally be either practising or aspiring team leaders with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands, and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme
What is the duration of the course ?
The ILM Level 2 programme in Leadership and Team skills is a flexible programme available to suit your needs. You can choose to study the whole Certificate programme or pick the units you wish to study in order to achieve the Award qualification.
The ILM Level 2 Certificate in Leadership and Team skills is approximately a 20 week programme of part-time study available on an afternoon or an evening basis. You will study up to 10 units.
The ILM Level 2 Award in Leadership and Team skills is approximately a 12 week programme of part-time study available on an afternoon or an evening basis. You will study a minimum of 2 units.
Course Assessment:
After each subject a form of assessment will be required. This could take the form of a brief assignment or a short answer question sheet.

ILM Level 3 in Leadership and Management Award, Certificate and Diploma
Who is this course aimed at?
This course is intended for people working within a business environment as reflection and work based experience is a major part of the lessons and the assessments. The course covers some of the main issues in the role of supervisors. Its aim is to give practising and potential managers the foundation for their formal development in this role.
What are the entry requirements?
Ideally you should be a practising or aspiring/potential supervisor/manager. If you have passed the level 3 Award or Certificate in Leadership and Management then you can simply enrol once you have provided a copy of your certificate.
What is the duration of the course ?
The ILM Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management is a 40 week programme of part-time study available on an afternoon or an evening basis. You will study up to 17 units.
The ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management is approximately a 21 week programme of part-time study available on an afternoon or an evening basis. You will study up to 7 units.
The ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management is approximately a 12 week programme of part-time study available on an afternoon or an evening basis. You will study a minimum of 2 units.
Course Assessment:
After each subject, a form of assessment will be required. This could take the form of an assignment or a presentation.

ILM Level 4 in Leadership and Management Award, Certificate and Diploma
Who is this course aimed at?
This course is intended for people working within a business environment as reflection and work based experience is a major part of the lessons and the assessment. The aim is to give practising managers the further management insight for development in their role. The qualification does this by developing and reflecting on management skills and assisting participants in gaining knowledge required by a manager.
What are the entry requirements?
Ideally you should be a practising or aspiring/potential supervisor/manager. If you have passed the level 3 Award or Certificate or the Award/Certificate at Level 4 in Leadership and Management then you can simply enrol upon advice from your tutor and once you have provided your certificate.
What is the duration of the course ?
The ILM Level 4 Diploma in Leadership and Management is a 40 week programme of part-time study available on an afternoon or an evening basis. You will study up to 11 units.
The ILM Level 4 Certificate in Leadership and Management is approximately a 20 week programme of part-time study available on an afternoon or an evening basis. You will study up to 5 units.
The ILM Level 4 Award in Leadership and Management is approximately a 12 week programme of part-time study available on an afternoon or an evening basis. You will study a minimum of 2 units.

ILM Level 5 in Leadership and Management Award, Certificate and Diploma
Who is this course aimed at?
This qualification is designed for middle managers and new/aspiring senior managers seeking a thorough grounding in their role and responsibilities, plus the opportunity to consolidate and further develop the key skills and knowledge they need at this level.
What are the entry requirements?
You should be a practising first line manager or middle manager or an aspiring manager with support from your line manager to be able to complete the assignment tasks. If you have passed the level 5 Award or Certificate previously then you can simply enrol once you have provided a copy of your certificate.
What is the duration of the course ?
The ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management is a 40 week programme of part-time study available on an afternoon or an evening basis. You will study up to 9 units.
The ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management is approximately an 18 week programme of part-time study available on an afternoon or an evening basis. You will study up to 4 units.
The ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership and Management is approximately a 12 week programme of part-time study available on an afternoon or an evening basis. You will study a minimum of 2 units.
Course Assessment:
There are a number of assignments in the form of management reports, reflective reviews and presentations.
