First Aid for children is not simply a matter of thinking of them as small people, the medical needs of children can be significantly different.

Our two-day paediatric first aid course covers all you need to know to deliver effective first aid to your children, be they your own or in your care. It meets the Ofsted requirements for registered child minders and the requirements for nannies under the Approved Carers Scheme. It can also be used as evidence for employees working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.

As with all our courses, the emphasis is on the development and honing of the skills needed to save life and improve patient outcomes. Delivered by trainers with exceptional medical backgrounds and experience, so they really do know their subject!

We can add any other subject required by you so that the course is tailored to suit you and your environment, workplace or leisure activity.

CCATT

29-03-2019 8:30 am -5:00 pm
£240.00

The Critical Care Advanced Transfer Training course is aimed at all those involved with the transport of critically ill patients including doctors, nurses, ODPs, paramedics and ambulance/emergency technicians.

The Intensive Care Society's "Guidelines for the transport of the critically ill adult ( 3rd Edition 2011)" state "All staff potentially involved in the transport of critically ill patients should receive appropriate training in transfer medicine, and have the opportunity to gain experience in a supernumerary capacity" [11.7.1] and "All staff involved in transfers must be able to demonstrate the range of competencies appropriate to their role." [11.7.2]. The CCATT course covers both of these stipulations.

Transporting critically ill patients is a challenging, high-risk situation that requires the right team, with the right training to ensure these risks are managed appropriately and to perform a safe and effective transfer. All surgery and anaesthesia comes with a risk and when patients deteriorate do your staff have the knowledge to effectively assess and stabilise a critically ill patient and perform a safe transfer?

The course provides the most advanced up to date transfer training available in the UK. This intensive one-day course will provide medical personnel with the skills and knowledge needed to make critical care transfer as safe and efficient as possible, improving outcomes and comfort for the patient.
