Emergency First Aid At Work

This is a short and sharp training course, teaching the necessary skills to deal with life-threatening emergencies in the workplace, at home or in the leisure environment.


Conforming to the Health and Safety Executive requirements for Emergency First Aid at Work, this course focusses on skills development backed by sound theory, all delivered by subject-area specialists.


This course is equivalent to PHEM (Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine) Level B, as defined by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care for providers.


Aim of this course

Course delivery

The course is delivered over 1 day with emphasis on skills development, and with sound theory knowledge delivered by experts who really know their subject.

Upon completion of the course, students are awarded an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate, which is valid for 3 years.

First Aid At Work

This course equips appointed individuals with the skills and knowledge to deal with life-threatening and urgent injuries, and medical conditions.


‘First Aid at Work’ is defined by the Health and Safety Executive as the provision of “the immediate care and assistance given to a person who is injured or is suddenly taken ill”.


Emphasis is placed on the development and practising of skills needed to save life and improve patient outcomes, all delivered by trainers who have extensive medical backgrounds and experience to draw on.


We can add another subject required by you so that the course is tailored to suit the unique needs of your workforce or workplace.

Paediatric First Aid

First aid for children is not as simple as thinking of them as small people, the medical needs of children can be significantly different.


Our two-day paediatric first aid course covers all you need to know to deliver effective first aid to children, whether your own or those in your care. It meets the Ofsted requirements for registered child minders and the requirements for nannies under the Approved Carers Scheme. It can also be used as evidence for employees working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.


Emphasis is placed on the development and practising of skills needed to save young lives and improve patient outcomes, all delivered by trainers who have extensive medical backgrounds and experience to draw on.


We can add any other subject required by you so that the course is tailored to suit you and your environment, workplace or leisure activity.
