EURIECA™ - Facing Unique Risks with Specialist Skills

EURIECA™ - Facing Unique Risks with Specialist Skills

Our advanced first aid training is designed to transform patient care, improve patient outcomes, and save lives. Led by a team of experienced and skilled medical experts, we partner with clients to deliver training within robust clinical governance structures.

As the renewable energy sector continues to grow and the distance from wind farms to civilisation increases, so does the need for robust emergency response plans that can safely and effectively provide care for casualties until they are transferred to the emergency services.

Whilst basic first aid plays its part in the management of casualties in a remote environment, there is an absolute need for personnel who can immediately attend a casualty with the skills to assess, diagnose and treat life-threatening emergencies safely and effectively. The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) recognised the need for improved casualty care with its GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA) standard.

Following extensive work with a number of renewable energy organisations, and the subsequent development of a list of credible injury scenarios, Trauma Resus identified a number of advanced skills which are required in addition to the GWO EFA syllabus. The EURIECA™ programme bridges the gap between GWO First Aid and professional medical help, by empowering teams and organisations to deliver the right care, at the right time, with the right equipment every-time.

The EURIECA™ course has been designed specifically for those working in the onshore or offshore renewable energy environments, and we have been successfully delivering it since 2016. The aim of the course is to equip casualty carers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to assess, diagnose and treat life threatening injuries, to prevent avoidable pre-hospital care deaths.

What We Do

We are trusted experts to a range of industries that require the most advanced standards of first aid training, equipment, and clinical governance.

Trauma Resus is the number one provider of these services to the UK’s Fire and Rescue Services and Airport Fire Services, and we organise the Annual Trauma Conference for Fire, Emergency and Rescue Service personnel.

Our European Remote Immediate Emergency Care Advanced (EURIECA™) course is accredited by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) as compliant with its GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA) criteria. This training goes above and beyond the EFA requirements.

We also deliver regular public training courses at the Trauma Resus head office. These courses cover most aspects of advanced first aid and are updated annually so that they reflect current practices and recommendations.

Our Team

Our organisation is led by medical experts and a faculty of healthcare professionals, and we have an excellent team of office-based staff who support our business.

People are incredibly important to us and we treat all staff and customers as part of our family.

Why Trauma Resus

Our key differentiator is our values-based approach and ethos. Our goal is to help save lives, and we are committed to enabling companies and individuals to do this through ongoing support and advice.

When training with other providers, you are often given a certificate and left to your own devices. This isn’t how we work. No matter which course you complete with us, you will always have us on hand to offer support and advice.

Our training and support are backed by our Clinical Governance service, a robust and strategic approach that ensures individuals learn the latest evidence-based practices and keeps them at the forefront of modern life-saving techniques.
