GWO Certification – Annual Renewal, December 2021

21 December, 2021

Following the December 2021 annual audit, Trauma Resus is proud to announce the renewal of our GWO Training Provider Certification.

Our EURIECA™ course is accredited by the GWO as compliant with its Enhanced First Aid (EFA) criteria, with the EURIECA™ programme going above and beyond the EFA requirements.

The EURIECA™ course is designed specifically for those working in often remote offshore or onshore wind environments, with the aim to reduce preventable pre-hospital deaths. The advanced first aid training helps individuals to identify and treat life-threatening injuries sustained in these remote areas, and to prepare casualties for rapid evacuation to hospital.

Adherence to the GWO standards ensures that :-

  • GWO accredited training reflects the risks their wind farm technicians face while at work
  • Only training providers who are certified according to the GWO criteria are permitted to deliver the training
  • Employers accept the training of GWO-certified technicians, wherever they were trained
  • Employers avoid duplicating training, and technicians are available for more productive workdays on site.

It is our pleasure to work within the GWO framework, to help to improve the alignment and quality of safety training standards.
